Our Formentera holiday apartment is on the ground floor of a small block of similar apartments in a quiet cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Es Pujols. Some of these are also holiday rental apartments but the majority are permanently occupied by local residents. Being designed for full time residents, the apartments are of better quality and space than the average rental apartments in Formentera.
The apartment is located just two minutes' walk from the beach, in a quiet area on the outskirts of Es Pujols on beautiful Formentera, often referred to as the Mediterranean's last paradise island. Quiet and peaceful, yet only two minutes walk from the resort centre, the apartment has easy access to all amenities, including the local evening street market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.
Leading from the living room is a spacious garden with built in barbecue, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With two twin bedrooms, the apartment is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay as all of Formentera's famous white sand beaches are within easy reach.
The island has a "bathing suits optional" policy on most of its beaches making it very popular with naturists and the nearest cloths optional beach is about 10 minutes walk along the boardwalk behind the beaches. Many beaches may be considered naturist beaches but there is no obligation to go nude; quite simply, swimming costumes are considered optional, so most people just go to the beach they like best, irrespective of whether they wish to wear a costume or not and all seem to happily co-exist without embarassment.
The Formentera Apartment has a tranquil garden with barbecue and backs onto woodland. Although the two bedroom rental accommodation is only two minutes walk to the centre of Es Pujols and its many bars and restaurants, it is extremely quiet and peaceful. For much of the time the only sounds to be heard are the cooing of the doves, yet it is only a short drive away to any of the superb beaches on Formentera.

The two bedrooms are of a good size, each having twin beds and fitted wardrobes. There is also a modern shower room and toilet.
Linen and bathroom towels are provided and changed weekly when a cleaning service is also provided. Guests should provide their own beach towels however.
Our rental apartment lounge/dining area
The lounge/dining area is light and modern and quite spacious for an apartment of this type. Sliding doors lead to a delightful courtyard garden backing onto woodland and which contains a barbecue and table and chairs for eating "al fresco". This is a truly peaceful location where for most of the time the only sound is the cooing of the doves, yet is only two minutes walk to either beach, shops, or to the centre of Es Pujols, Formentera's principal resort.

The kitchen in our Formentera apartment
The kitchen in our apartment on Formentera opens off the dining area and is a proper, fully equipped kitchen, not just a hob stuck in a corner. It is very modern, with gas hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer, microwave oven and washing machine, together with a range of utensils etc to make home cooking a real possibility.
